SEIDO Cookware

The SEIDO Cookware 5-Year Warranty

Every SEIDO Cookware product — skillets and the stainless steel lunch box set alike — carries a 5-Year Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use. To claim, contact us through our contact page with your Amazon order number and photos of the issue. The warranty applies to the original purchaser.

No registration is required. Your Amazon order number is your proof of purchase — keep it with the product. Below is the full coverage in plain language: what the warranty covers, what it does not, and how a claim works.

What Does the 5-Year Warranty Cover?

The 5-Year Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use, for five years from the date of purchase. If a skillet or lunch box fails because of how it was made — not how it was used — that failure is covered.

That means flaws present in the material itself or introduced during manufacturing. If we confirm a manufacturing defect, we will put it right.

A stainless steel pan warranty is also refreshingly simple. SEIDO Cookware skillets are made without synthetic coatings, so a coating that can wear or flake is simply not there to fail. What remains is 100% 304 (18/8) food-grade stainless steel, and that is what we stand behind.

What Does the Warranty Not Cover?

Four things sit outside the warranty. None of them are surprises, and none of them are hidden in fine print:

  • Normal wear — scratches, scuffs, and the ordinary surface changes that come with routine cooking.
  • Discoloration from use — rainbow, blue, or golden tinting is normal stainless steel behavior, not a defect. It affects appearance only.
  • Damage from misuse — drops, overheating an empty pan on a high burner, or using a product for something it was not designed to do.
  • Commercial use — the warranty covers home use. Restaurant or other commercial service is excluded.

How Do I Make a Warranty Claim?

Claims run through our contact page and take a few minutes to prepare. You will need two things:

First, your Amazon order number — you will find it under Your Orders in your Amazon account. Second, photos of the issue — clear shots of the affected area, plus one of the whole product.

Send both through our contact page with a short description of what happened and when you first noticed it. We review every claim individually and reply with next steps. If you are not sure whether your issue is wear or a defect, contact us anyway — we would rather look at a photo than have you guess.

Your Other Rights

The 5-Year Warranty gives you rights in addition to any rights you already have under applicable law — it never limits them. Depending on where you live, consumer protection laws may provide remedies that apply alongside this warranty. Nothing on this page reduces or replaces those rights.

Keep a record of your purchase

Registration is optional — your 5-Year Warranty applies either way. Leave your address and we will keep the paperwork alongside anything else worth telling you.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the SEIDO Cookware warranty?
Every SEIDO Cookware product carries a 5-Year Warranty, running five years from the date of purchase. It covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use, and it applies across the range: the 8-inch (20 cm), 9.5-inch (24 cm), and 11-inch (28 cm) skillets, and the stainless steel lunch box 3-pack, 27 oz (800 ml) each.
What do I need to make a warranty claim?
Two things: your Amazon order number and photos of the issue. The order number sits under Your Orders in your Amazon account and serves as your proof of purchase. Take clear photos of the affected area plus one of the whole product, then send everything through our contact page with a short description. No registration or paperwork is required.
Does discoloration count as a defect?
No. Rainbow, blue, or golden tinting on stainless steel is a normal result of heat — a thin surface layer that changes how light reflects, not a flaw in the material. It affects appearance only and can be removed at home. We explain the science, and the fix, in our stainless steel discoloration guide in Learn.
Is the SEIDO Cookware warranty transferable?
The 5-Year Warranty applies to the original purchaser. Claims are verified against the original Amazon order, so the order number is the key document — if you received a SEIDO Cookware product as a gift, ask the purchaser to keep that number on hand. The warranty does not transfer with resale of the product.
